The BMT200 Dual-Sided Tooth Setter is a robust manual machine designed to provide precise and repeatable tooth setting for bandsaw blades used in sawmilling operations. Manual Dual-Sided Operation

The BMT200 enables simultaneous setting of both sides of the blade using a manually operated crank handle. One full rotation of the crank sets two teeth and advances the blade forward into position for the next setting cycle. This synchronized movement ensures consistent tooth indexing and efficient workflow while maintaining full operator control over the process.

The machine follows the standard “left/right/straight” tooth pattern required for proper cutting geometry. The left and right teeth open the cut, while the straight (raker) tooth supports sawdust removal. Maintaining this pattern accurately is critical for optimal blade performance, and the BMT200’s mechanical design ensures stable and repeatable advancement.

Wide Compatibility and Fine Adjustment

The BMT200 is compatible with bandsaw blades ranging from 25 mm to 75 mm in width and supports tooth spacing from 13 mm to 32 mm. This versatility allows operators to maintain a wide range of blade types and profiles used in different sawing applications.

The setter features precise tooth space indexing and fine adjustment capabilities, allowing operators to adapt the tooth set according to blade specifications and wood type. Since recommended tooth set values vary depending on blade profile and material being cut (for example, smaller set values for hardwood and larger for softwood), the BMT200 provides the mechanical accuracy needed to achieve the correct offset.

Each set bolt and anvil mechanism is linked to a precision dial gauge that measures the tooth offset value. The gauge enables accurate monitoring and adjustment, ensuring that every tooth is set consistently and within tolerance. For additional verification, operators may use a Set Master Gauge to double-check setting values. The Set Master Gauge is included as standard equipment.
