Wood-Mizer has expanded its product portfolio with two highly versatile mobile machines designed for professionals who need to take their work on the road. The new LT20START Mobile Sawmill and EG300 Mobile Board Edger deliver precision, productivity, and portability, making them ideal for sawyers operating between multiple job sites.
Freedom to Saw Anywhere – LT20START Mobile
Based on the popular LT20START model, the LT20START Mobile combines affordability with advanced features, including hydraulic log handling and the SW10 Setworks system. Engineered for precision cutting, it can process logs up to 80 cm in diameter and 6.1 m in length, with optional bed extensions (1.8 m, 3.6 m, or 7.2 m) for longer timber.
Its hydraulic package includes three side supports, a central clamp, a log turner, two toeboards, and loading arms, all of which are operated via intuitive levers for efficient handling. The SW10 Setworks ensures automatic cutting height adjustment, eliminating the need for manual calculations and improving productivity.
The machine can be equipped with a 25 HP gasoline engine, providing ample power for both softwoods and hardwoods. Roof-shaped bedrails and optional stainless steel covers enhance precision by preventing bark buildup.
Additional features include an electrically adjustable blade guide arm, automatic blade lubrication, and an optional debarker, which extends blade life and improves cut quality.
Certified for public road transport, the LT20START Mobile comes with a complete trailer package, including a GVWR of 1800 kg, a braked axle, a hitch with support wheel, adjustable outriggers, lighting, and safety fencing.
Portable Productivity – EG300 Mobile Board Edger/Multirip
For sawyers seeking to boost timber yield and profits, the EG300 Mobile provides the combined benefits of edging and multirip functionality in a single, portable unit. Built for efficiency, it can process cants up to 60 mm thick and 550 mm wide, with a maximum cutting width of 420 mm between blades. Operators can choose between Edging Mode (two blades) and Multirip Mode (up to five blades), depending on their production needs.
The infeed system features four powered rollers, capable of speeds of up to 25 m/min, ensuring smooth and consistent feeding. Powered by an 18.5 kW motor, the EG300 Mobile easily tackles even dense hardwoods. Standard and optional features include anti-kickback fingers, laser alignment, a mobile swivel-arm control panel with Setworks, modular foldable roller tables, and storage solutions.
Designed for transport convenience, the EG300 Mobile trailer has a GVWR of 1500 kg and a braked axle. The hitch folds to the side when not in use, saving space during storage or operation.
